In other (and unfortunate after looking at my last entry) news, I'm single again...have been for...I guess it's close to a month now. I'm actually starting to enjoy it again.
Also, I'm moving back to Mobile for the summer...not taking any classes...I only need 3 in the fall to graduate but I'll probably take 4.
I'm leaving May 5th after I see 3 of my friends graduate.

Wow...what a difference a year makes. I was in the shower yesterday and I thought..."A year ago today, I was all excited about seeing Dee for Valentine's Day...well that didn't turn out so hot. I was curious what my entries looked like around that time last year. I only had 2 that month I think, one way before v-day and one afterwards.

So...Dee and I have been broken up about a year not (I think officially a week from now). For some reason it seems like so much longer. A lot has happened in the past year. Heck, Troy and I have been an item for 8 months now. How the time does fly! Dee has a girlfriend now. I guess all of that "never getting into another relationship ever again" talk didn't work out. I'm glad to know I didn't scar the man for life...well...I may have...but not as bad as I thought.
Hmm...this Valentine's Day turned out MUCH better than that one. I went to see Troy last weekend...well last Thursday until Monday (I left about 10...got here about 1 and had class at 4). He had to work Thursday night from 5:30-11:00 pm so I told him I'd order pizza. I also told him to leave his EBT card because I needed to pick up a few things at Walmart. He did, and I bought some eggs and vegetable oil that I needed for the breakfast I planned on making Saturday, some pork chops, rice, macaroni and cheese, green beans and crescent rolls. He ended up having to stay the whole time at work, so when he came home I told him I lied about getting pizza but I didn't think he'd be mad lol. We went to the movies on Friday with his friend Zack and his girlfriend. I've met Zack a couple of times before. He's cool people. We saw "A Night at the Museum" which was a lot funnier than we expected and then got something to eat with them (well...the place was about to close so Troy and I just sat and talked with them and then got something to eat after we left). He gave me some of my Valentine's presents: a small brown teddy bear with the cutest sweater on, a card which me made himself (with a rose that he stenciled and cut out...very tedious), made with 3 different shades of purple paper and a poem he wrote on the inside, and Backstreet Boy's Greatest Hits cd (He knows I love them). Saturday we went out to eat at an Italian restaurant called Pinino's (I dunno if I spelled that right). I surprised Troy by wearing a dress (yes I said a DRESS) and some stiletto heels (they kill my feet but I LOVE those shoes. They have a silver heel lol). They had a violin player and a candle on the table...very romantic but not over the top. Our waiter sounded like he was a robot...which almost made me bust out laughing a few times. Then, after he brought our food, he came back and brought me a bouquet of red roses that Troy had dropped off earlier. I was very surprised! After that we went home and Troy had another surprise planned for me...I'm keeping that one to myself but it was LOVELY! I cooked breakfast the next day and surprised him with banana nut bread (I brought the mix with me and had it hidden). We watched lots of movies and cuddled over the weekend and think I gave him his presents on Thursday (4 CDs: Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and 3 India Arie CDs, a fake rose with a small teddy bear on it that I thought was cute, a heart filled with skittles (his favorite candy), and some things I picked up from Spencer's Gifts). I also surprised him with a cute outfit on Saturday...let's just say it wasn't a dress lol.
Well that was the weekend, today I received a box of chocolate turtles from my sister (which almost got lost in the mail because it wasn't there when I went to pick it up yesterday) and Troy had sent me more flowers. He was a little mad though because they were red roses with a red vase and lilies when they were supposed to be purple roses and a purple vase. That's why he ordered them. I still thought they were beautiful! I'll post a picture if I get around to it. Brandon unexpectedly gave me a small teddy bear that had a Dove Chocolates filled heart and a funny card with 2 condoms in it lol. I felt bad because I hadn't gotten him anything but I thought he and I weren't exchanging gifts since Santana and Lois were both his Valentine's this year.
I can honestly say...Best Valentine's Day EVER!
On another note...I ran into this entry from February 22, 2005. I dunno WHAT happened that I was talking about...I wish I did because it sounded good lol.

So it seems another year has started...yippee.
I have a little bit of a cold. It's not bad...just sinus stuff...but the benadryll I've been taking is wonderful lol.
Dee and I have been talking on the phone more recently. I'm glad that we're at a point where we can actually talk. We're still not back to how we used to talk (for obvious reasons) but it's a start.
Troy apparently has something big planned for me for Valentine's Day. I dunno what it is, but knowing him it will be very cute and very thoughtful. I've bought his present already...can't say what it is though. I haven't decided what else I'm going to get...maybe I'll come up with a surprise or two of my own. I'm going up there the weekend before Valentine's day since it falls in the middle of the week. Most of my Valentine's days have been...well interesting would be a good way to describe them I guess. I'm looking forward to this one though.
Apparently, I can only use the G.I. Bill somewhere in Alabama...according to my Dad...which sucks because the Alabama grad schools were at the bottom of my list. Oh well. Also, I looked it up a bit myself and I think I have to use it before I turn 23...and since I planned on using it for grad school and I'll be 23 6 months after I graduate from UAB...I might be screwed either way. Oh well. I guess I should have used it already and let them pay for my books and tuition.
Lois is having a party tonight. I probably won't stay for too long because the cold medicine has been making me sleepy. I won't drink eiteher...because of the medicine obviously and also because I'm driving.
Well I guess that's it for now. More...sometime...eventually...when I feel like it.

I haven't written on here in a while...been way too busy with school. Oh well, I had my week from hell last week with a 10 minute presentation AND 3 page research paper due for the same class on tuesday, a family genogram with some other related stuff that ended up being about 5 pages on wednesday and then thursday I had a midterm...which is worth about...hell I don't even know but the only thing that's left in that class is the service learning (20 % of my grade), the food project (due at the end and has to have a paper with it) and the final project (which I have no idea what I'm doing...did I mention that class is once a week and we only have about 3 more meetings in there before the end of the class? lol
On another note, my friend Carl sent me a DSM-IV (It's like the bible for psychologists) so I'm pretty excited about that. Thanksgiving is coming up soon...I'll probably go home wednesday morning. Well I guess that's it for now...more in a few months lol

The purpose of free writing is to...well write. Basically you just write and you can't stop and you write whatever comes to mind. That's what I'm going to and I'm not going to censor myself so if it comes to mind...down it goes.
Time Limit: 5 minutes
I'm sitting here...being bored. I first did this free writing thing in my African American studies class last Thursday. We had to free write for 10 minutes non stop. Actually we did it twice. My hand nearly fell off both times. It got me thinking though, I need to write more. I hardly have time it seems...but I think I can take out 5 minutes every once in a while to write about whatever's on my mind. If nothing else, it will let whoever reads this...which is probably nobody lol...know that I'm still alive. Speaking of that...Dee called me at 8:30ish this morning when I was barely alive. I dunno what he was doing up so early but as anyone who knows me can tell you...I don't get up early. Even on days when I have 12:30 classes the earliest I get up is around 11. Anywayz, I don't have class today until 5:30 so I usually try to get up around 1 on those days and do something somewhat productive before class...like read whatever I was supposed to read. I had a paper to write for my Family Therapy class. I think I took about an hour or so to actually write it. 2 pages of BS which I emailed to my professor. She e-mailed me back and said she got it so I guess it's all good. Actually the paper was 3 pages but there were only a few lines on the 3rd page so I'm not really counting it. I hit a dead spot there...couldn't think of anything to write about...let's see...yesterday was Ariel's birthday...yay! I left her a message on facebook. I wish there was some way to turn off that stupid feed. I basically turned off what

The funeral was Monday. That wasn't too bad. No one acted a fool. My brother and sister couldn't make it so they sent flowers...which came to our house Monday so my Dad and I went back to my aunt's house to drop it off. The family was still outside talking and eating and the DJ had set up by then. We found my aunt and gave her the plant...lol she was obviously drunk. She doesn't really drink...but I guess she made an exception in that case.
My Dad replaced the hubs on my back two tires...so my car rides much quieter now. He also looked at the brakes and oil and all of that good stuff. He probably drove out the gas I had in it earlier though. Oh well.
Apparently everyone is going home this weekend. I'll have plenty of time to unpack once I get back I guess. I need some alone time to get my head together.
I think I want another tattoo. I know what...I just don't know where. If I could I'd have them all over. I love tattoos. Of course since I'm trying to be professional and all...I want to keep them hidden. The two I have are in an ideal spot. I don't really want to put any more tattoos near those though. It might start to look tacky (if it doesn't already lol. oh well, I like them). I need money and to think of a place though. I guess I'll have to wait on that one.
Hmm...I have a lot to think about.

Moving SUCKS. Especially when you move all of your crap one day by yourself and then get up the next day to help your friend move.
It was 100 degrees up here the other day...at least that's what the Walgreens sign said. I think it felt more like 120.
I finally got a new phone...yay! My text messages are also working again...another yay!
I spent wayyy too much money yesterday. I bought a phone, some wifebeaters from Old Navy (Which I officially LOVE), and some stuff from Walmart...AND Wendy's for dinner.
Financial Aid sucks. I might not be getting paid again like I though...gotta work that out by tomorrow.
The phone in my dorm room is acting up. It's actually the phone line that's the problem. Plus I saw that they are making everyone switch to a bundled package for $26 a month that includes voicemail (which I don't need) and unlimited long distance (which I will use the HELL out of since I have to pay for it anyway) or they will turn your service off at the end of the month. They're supposed to be sending someone out to look at the phone line.
Bad news from my Dad this morning...one of my uncles (on my Mom's side) passed away last night. I have to go home for the funeral next week...and apparently stay a few days and let my dad get something fixed on my car...ugh...more money spent on gas...and possibly a dress seeing as I don't have a black dress to wear.
I still have a LOT of unpacking to do (like...all of it basically). I guess I'll be doing that this week. I bought shelf liners yesterday at walmart so that I can put my dishes and stuff up. Hopefully I'll get to that today. One room at a time...
Atleast the TV, Computer, and Microwave are set up. Gotta do the essentials first ya know...
I think that's all the drama for right now...more as it comes.

Well I made it safely back to B-ham.
Santana is spending the night with Brittnee soooo I have the room to myself. Yay!
Robin's birthday is today...but I don't have to make the cake until the party Friday. We're taking her out to eat tonight.
Troy comes back on Thursday.
I'm tired...but I'm going to read my book before I go to bed. I was so sleepy yesterday I just fell into bed and went to sleep.

My Dad bought me new tires...yay!
I had to take 2 dresses back for my Mom and exchange them...and drive all the way to West Mobile to exchange some photo albums to get the ones my Dad was SUPPOSED to get in the first place...
Why do people like to mess with stuff when you're in the middle of a project? What is it about seeing stuff laid all out that makes people want to come pick up stuff and mess with it? Then you have to go back and re-organize what they messed up. Also they try to tell you how to do a project...that you were doing yourself...yet they don't want to take it over themselves...they just want to tell YOU how to do it. Can we say annoying?
Yes I think we can.
Maybe I'm just easily annoyed...or maybe people just do stupid stuff and I don't feel like being bothered...
Gotta be one of those...right?

I wish I had a laptop...I'd probably write more. I'd pull it out like Carrie on "Sex and the City" and quickly type out the crazy...but sometimes interesting thoughts that pop in my head. As it stands now...I still have the thoughts, but I'm too lazy to sit up at the computer and type them.
I probably wouldn't even post most of them...maybe in a private entry or maybe just in microsoft word...just a random little essay. God knows I need to do something to be productive. Oh well, screw it...I've been productive enough this summer. I'm relaxing until August.
I wish I had money...money would make things sooo much easier. Everyone wishes that though don't they? Oh well. I guess there's nothing you can really do about that huh?
Michelle's getting married next weekend. I won't be able to attend the wedding unfortunately. I meant to call and tell her but with all of the running around for my mom and other stuff I had going on...the date kind of snuck up on me and then slipped my mind. She called me yesterday and I told her I couldn't come.
She's the second of my friends to get married. I don't think I'll marching down the aisle anytime soon. I dunno what the rush is. Once you get married then everyone pressures you with questions about when you're going to have kids. Hmm...I wonder what I'd tell them if I was the one that got married. That probably gets annoying after a while. It's already annoying when people tell me that I'm going through a "phase" when I talk about kids. It makes me want to punch them in the eye.
I dunno why I do some of the things I do. Sometimes I decide in advance that I am or am not going to do something...then when the time comes...not all of the time but sometimes...I decide to do something else. Most of the time it's against my better judgement. Sometimes it works out...some of the time not...you'd think I'd learn my lesson by now.
Oh well. I guess I'm just hard headed.
I've been throwing around the idea to make this journal friends only...or maybe even private...or maybe I'll just quit writing in it all together. Who knows.
It's not like anyone reads this thing anyway.

Let's see...I get a new phone tomorrow...yay! It will be free too. I already bought a bluetooth headset because it was on sale at office depot (I suggest you go check it out if you want one). I'm done with my classes...I'm still in Mobile...I'll probably go back...hmm well I won't say but it will be later this week. I STILL haven't seen Pirates of the Carribbean 2 yet but AGAIN I'm supposed to go tomorrow to see it. Troy's still in Germany, but he's supposed to come back on the 20th. I re-did his Myspace page for him...I'm still not all the way pleased with it but I can do a better job when I get back to b-ham because the colors on this monitor are off...so they will look differently if I do them here. Troy and I are official now...yay! We have been for a little while...we just hadn't made an official announcement yet.
Ok on another note I just saw the STUPIDEST commercial. It was for planned parenthood and they were talking about how they offer birth control pills, shots etc to women affected by hurricane Katrina. They had various pictures showing on the screen and one of the last ones was of a couple getting married (the woman had on a wedding dress and the man had on a tux and they were holding hands at an altar) while they said that they offer emergency contraception. Talk about bad timing! Anyway...just had to comment on that.
Back to what I was talking about...oh yeah, I don't think anybody was really surprised by the news...and the plan was to wait till he got back from Germany...but that didn't quite happen lol.
On another note, my Mom was able to get up and walk around (she has to use a walker) without anyone helping her to get up today. I was rather surprised to see her up and walking around because I had been in my room sleeping...so I assumed my dad helped her up but he was sleeping as well. Yay Mom!

Troy and his family made an unexpected trip to B-ham today (they stopped to meet me on their way back from Atlanta) and they took me and some friends out to eat at Chili's. I looked like crap but I had a ball lol.
I got an A in the math class I took during the May term...I started a new math class last Wednesday's and I don't have class Fridays....LOVELY!
Keisha's birthday is tomorrow (well technically today...) so I have to make her cake and we're taking her out to eat. We got her present today.

May term classes suck...I've done a class in 2 1/2 weeks that should have taken a semester...just as much work too.
I'm going to 2 weddings next month, one on the 10th of June with Troy (he's picking me up) and another here on the 16th (my friend Pinky's wedding). I had to buy a dress...ugh...I hate dresses. Anywayz, it's a knee length black dress w/ white polka dots (small ones). I like it about as much as I can like a dress. I'm wearing it to both weddings since no one will see me in it twice (lol). I have to get some shoes...going to payless soon...that's something I hate even more than dresses...HEELS.
Mom's still in the hospital but she should be getting out soon. She might be able to have a hospice worker at the house during the day, but that's still in the works...
I start working at the Surgery Library with Brandon on Tuesday. I also start my other math class on Wednesday...yay.
I guess that's it for now...more when I get around to it.
P.S. My birthday is offically less than a month away!

Well bad news, my Mom's back in the hospital because she has a hernia (however you spell it). It probably came from her straining when she tries to get up because of the surgery she had. They're going to operate on her later today. She said she feels a lot better though. I told her that they're going to name the room she's staying in after her if she keeps going back (they gave her the same room they gave her last time lol). I'll keep everyone updated when I know more after surgery.
In other news, today was the first day of my math class. It's going to be hard...it's from 8-10:40 every day until the 26th and then an exam on the 30th. I swear, I almost passed out in class today. It was a struggle to keep my eyes open...and it was raining when I left...yuck. I'm off to reply to a few messages on Myspace (I swear I've been on there for months and never really checked it, but I put up some pictures like 2 days ago and now all of a sudden 10 guys want to message me and add me as a friend) and then go back to bed till 1...laterz!

We're all moved into the new room...it looks a mess though...there's stuff EVERYWHERE! (Check Facebook soon for pictures of the madness). Santana and I went to IHOP earlier just to get out of here because it was depressing...that meal was a fiasco. They always ask how everything was when you pay and I told them "I've had better" and I meant it. Oh well. We went to Walmart and bought some stuff too. I unpacked the computer (obviously) and the TV and a few other things. I made sure the phone was on and moved some furniture around. Santana is off seeing her boo. She'll be back tomorrow. She was cracking jokes about the room last night and this morning...HILARIOUS. That's it for now...I'm off to watch the rest of the NBA playoffs that's on. Byeeee!

2 exams today...one at 8 and the other at 10:45...I had a copy of the first one but I had to get up at 7 to get ready...ugh and I went to bed last night/this morning at 3:30. Idea not good.
I BSed my second exam...3 essays all of which were atleast 3 pages double spaced written...one of them was 4. My hand hurts.
I still have some errands to run...probably will try to sell some more books back and then go to the food stamp office to get that mess worked out. It never stops...
So so tired...
